Where to start? Well, being an author was something I never dreamed of. I love reading, but if I’m being completely honest it’s not often I get the chance to read as much as I would like to. When I was younger my head was always buried in a book. As a ’90s kid it was Ronald Dahl’s Matilda which first inspired me to read.
As I grew up my literary interests changed. I became fascinated by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland being one of my favourite books. I delved into the mysterious cases of Sherlock Holmes as I made my way through Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s complete collection. As the years went by, my own stories began to whizz through my mind. It was then I decided to try my hand at writing.
I have to admit that writing is not as easy as it looks. I understand at first-hand the pain of writer’s block and spending so much time in front of a computer that your vision becomes squared.
As for my other interests, I have always been a bit of a zombie geek, hence the inspiration for E-Virus. As I started to read more zombie based fiction, and of course became hooked on The Walking Dead, I realised that there are very few books out there written from a woman’s perspective, hence E-Virus was born.
I am currently residing in a lovely little apartment on the outskirts of Wilmslow, which I share with my very adorable yet occasionally nightmarish house bunny named Honey. The area around me actually inspired the locations in my first instalment. The characters are loosely based on the types of people I’ve observed, met and interacted with throughout the years.
