Product Description

Many years ago, hundreds of locals and tourists were massacred by giant man-eating sharks in the infamous 1916 Jersey Shore attacks. But that s just a legend... or is it? It s a holiday weekend on the Jersey Shore and, unbeknownst to anyone, underwater drills have attracted dozens of albino bull sharks to the pier. When a man goes missing, TC (The Complication), Nookie and friends fear the worst and plead with the police chief to close down the beach. It isn t until a famous singer is eaten alive during a performance on the pier that the shark hunt begins. Now, the Preppies must work together with the Guidos in order to save the Jersey Shore and its inhabitants from another vicious slaughter.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Like Moby Dick, but with a fin. 8 Aug 2012
By I. R. Kerr TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Format:DVD
Not having seen the Jersey Shore TV show I almost made the mistake of switching this movie off after a few minutes. After underwater drilling unleashes a pack of red-eyed, albino Bull Sharks and a quick couple of zero-budget style shark attacks involving a young couple and a fisherman and a brief intro of the main characters it cuts to Sal's bar and a 4th of July weekend wet t-shirt contest watched by a group of muscle-bound Italian Americans (GUIDOS) led by TC (The Complication) played by Jeremy Luc who looks like a young Jean-Claude Van Damme and watching them are their hair-twiddling, mega-tanned girlfriends (GUIDETTES) led by Nooki "Whatever!.... you mean he drownded..." played by Melissa Molinaro. The contest is in full swing when it is interrupted by some similarly muscular but rich "Preppies", led by Bradley and Spencer and soon descends into a mass brawl.
It soon dawned on me that I had been double bluffed and that this was not just the worst film I had ever seen but a reasonably clever spoof. I wrongly assumed this was based on the renowned 1916 New Jersey shark attacks and having never seen the Jersey Shore TV series Jersey Shore - Season 1 [DVD] I was oblivious to the connection. I checked imdb and soon recognised lots of the characteristics of the main characters of that series and that, along with almost every shark cliché you can think of thrown into the mix makes it worth watching, if you are in the right mood.
The dialogue is superb and from the moment JP calls out "Preppies, come out to Play-ay!" in a nod towards The Warriors (1979) and leaps into the sea to avoid the chasing Preppies it's played almost totally for laughs ... when they see the fisherman's overturned boat..

4.0 out of 5 stars CALL ME NOOKIE 26 May 2013
By The Movie Guy TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
The Jersey Shore is under attack by CG generated red-eyed albino "Moby Dick" sharks. This is a campy cleavage filled take off of "Jersey Shore" and shark attack movies. The production utilizes Troma style blood squirts and occasional body parts. The dialouge ranges from clever to sad and includes many bad shark attack lines such as: "You're not half the man I am."

Spoofs include hunting sharks with Roman candles and M-80s. Typical shark movie criticisms include deep water sharks in shallow water and people seen standing in water in one scene are shown treading water from underneath. Cameo appearance by Joey Fatone, who I discovered is his real name and not a gag name (Fat one) although one can't help but think that in this film.

Enjoyable Snooki spoof. I don't watch "Jersey Shore" and don't know of anyone who admits to it, but everyone knows Snooki. I am sure "Jersey Shore" fans will have more to howl about in this film.

PARENTAL GUIDE: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity. Implied sex with couple in bed on morning after. Lame wet t-shirt contest with contestants wearing bikini tops under shirts...I mean what's the point? 4 stars for those who like bad campy films.

it was a good movie, even better than some other ones I have watched with bigger names in them. It made me laugh in parts. Shark was as expected, no better or worse than others. All in all an entertaining movie.
