5.0 out of 5 stars TheJerome Conspiracy, 20 April 2009
An excellent book. Made easy to read due to it's story like format. It helps to have a Bible along with the Septuagint available, if you really want to understand the meat of this book.

I found it helped to reinforce the emormity of Jerome's deception whilst compliling his Latin Vulgate bible, and it's subsequent consequences on the lives of millions of people throughout the centuries. This book brings you face to face with Jeromes lies and deception, along with the fruit of his arrogance and pride, which has contributed to the unfair judgements meeted out by the established Church upon the faithful who failed to reach the standards imposed upon them by the hierarchy because of this conspiracy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Jerome The Corrupt, 11 Aug 2009

Michael Wood writes in narrative form the troubles we all have understanding a bible that is often, for language, translation and other reasons, find contradictory and confusing. Todays students & scholars of the bible appreciate there are interpolations & omissions from the 'original' manuscripts. Mr Wood's angle focuses on the Babylonian versus Egyptian manuscripts bringing in the significance of the dead sea scrolls, particularly cave 4. Jerome, for some reason, seems to have been the only person trusted to be able to translate the ancient texts into latin, then get away with what he did. If you want another antichrist here is a frontrunner, trying to annul God's work of salvation in the Christ. An easy read and well researched. The final outcome of his study is the only time the term Gospel - meaning GOOD NEWS - can actually be applied in truth to the bible. Current evangelical & christian sects in general claim good news, but when you read this its the best news possible for mankind, which is why Jerome, for whatever personal gain tried to cover up, but is now unveiled for all to see and believe.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you have an open mind, you must read this book!, 29 Aug 2009

The Jerome Conspiracy is eye opening for anyone who believes the Bible has to be read literally. As a student of Theosophy, I study comparative world religions and this book is great for uncovering the dogma!

Don't believe me - think for yourself. Read this book and make your own mind up.
