5.0 out of 5 stars first time out for clarkson on video 8 Nov 2007
Format:DVD
i first had this bought for me when it came out on video sometime ago, as christmas present. id seen jc on top gear with his outspoken views and wonderful descriptive words for the cars he was reviewing. but when he vented his ire on the bad cars on this production, i was amazed at first of the abuse he rained down upon them ! still his reactions were entirely reasonable because they truly were awful cars. real good blend of classics there as well including the e-type jaguar then moving onto its modern day counterpart the ferrari 355. it qas quite well linked together going from the good cars to the bad. the 3 bad cars were grouped together and given their own subsequent destruction. after these wrecks had taken place their is a small compilation of motorsport crashes and accidents. which then he gets back into the task in hand which is finding the best car in the world. this brings us onto the supercar drag race, which had me in awe of the tvr cerbera at the time, because id never heard of the company and it just trounced all the other established top end cars like the 911 turbo and the viper. he comes to the conclusion that if ferrari is the greatest car company of all time, the the 355 has to be the greatest car of all time. (of course he views have changed over the years) but nevertheless it was a good way to end a all round good production. you can see from the later releases he has done that the budget wasnt that big for it but they managed to make it into a really enjoyable hour of fun for a petrolhead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unleased On Cars 23 Oct 2011
By rc
Format:DVD
I got this DVD yesterday, it's good, but It's quite old, I know it says it came out in 2004 but it actually came out in 1996, it says 2004 because it was on VHS Video at first, but they re-released it in 2004 on DVD. But all together this is a good DVD. He shows some of the best cars he can find, and some of the worst so that he can destroy them. He launches a nissan sunny off a catapult, He destroys a Yugo 45 with a tank. So all together its a good DVD, especially for petrol heads like me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than some of his later DVD's... 25 Jun 2011
By T.Unwin
Format:DVD
I own every Clarkson DVD from his first in 1996 (This One) to his latest (Clarkson - The Italian Job (DVD + Digital Copy) and i must say this is up there with his best. It has a mix of Speed and Destruction like the rest of his DVD's do but its just an overall better watch than most of the rest. Obviously Clarkson is not as funny as he is today but in my view he tests the cars properly in his early films and i feel he mess' around a bit in his more recent. This Clarkson DVD is not his best (His best are Clarkson - Heaven And Hell [DVD] and Jeremy Clarkson - Head To Head [DVD] but is still better than others.
