5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 27 Aug 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I borrowed this book from the library on the recommendation of a list that was published by Bookstart. I think it was included in the "Treasure Chest" that is handed out to three year olds. The children, aged 2 and 3.5, loved it so much that we bought our own copy.

The storyline is brilliant, about a jellyfish named Jeremiah who swam against the tide, so to speak. He dared to be different. My husband and I love reading this book to the children as well, so everyone is happy. My favourite line from the book is "but sometimes it's good to just drift".

Highly recommend as you will probably get requests for it to be read often.

5.0 out of 5 stars John Fardell up to his usual loveliness 21 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
It's a pleasure to add yet another five star rating to a John Fardell book. My whole large family is now hooked on the work of this comic genius. This book has a stunning moment when young Jeremiah Jellyfish, first seen with his HUGE jellyfish family turns from drifting to swimming and is suddenly ALONE in the great green ocean. Two of the best illustrations I have ever seen. Works of art! Then Jeremiah dons a trilby and starts a new life as CEO of a company making rocket planes. But I won't spoil it for you - go out and buy it. John Fardell's are the best children's books ever, not just because they are simply eminently enjoyable at so many levels, but because your children will go on demanding they be read to them, over and over again. I have a seven years old grandson who has been hooked on Maddie the Baddie since he was three. It remains his favourite bedtime story. Well done again, John. Long may you continue to bless us with books like this one.

This book is great fun.... Like a new version of the Prince and the Pauper. It allows children to appreciate the differences between jobs and what makes you happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, probably more towards 4+yrs 19 Mar 2013
By DB
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book for my 3 year old based on how much he enjoys "The Day Louis Got Eaten", which is his favourite book. Jeremiah Jellyfish is probably aimed at a slightly older age group with Jeremiah swapping the sea for industry. However, he loves the storyline and it still regularly features as part of the bedtime routine.
