This book is amazing. It's full of glamorous looks for everyone of all ages to try. It covers everything you need to know so your make up compliments your natural beauty. It's very easy to follow. I love that it covers every skin type, season and age. It's has some amazing make up looks to try. It has more examples on how to wear eye make up depending on your eye shape than I've seen in other books. One which was perfect for me, but wasn't covered in my other make up books. It covers every make up application technique and gives great beauty tips. It also shows how to do the smokey eye make up and how to apply eyeliner to your eyelid. I'm really impressed with this book and I'm glad I bought it.

For those of you looking for a book which talks more than just the basic makeup routine, you will find this goes a tad further and can be of good reference. Great images, nice close-ups. Good diagrams and very nicely explained.What I enjoyed the most is the "blush", "highlighting" and "contouring" section.

This is an excellent book. Beautiful detailed pictures and useable looks for everyday wear or nighttime with a twist. I really like the sections covering what will suit you skin tone and how to alter certain looks according to your skin tone or face shape.Jemma Kidd gives good trade tips too! A few I already knew but plenty I didn't and considering all the magazines I consume I was surprised how much is in here. It even inspired me with a few changes to my daily makeup and I received compliments so a refresh is always good and this book provides fabulous everyday to night time wear. If I was starting out as a makeup artist I would certainly get this book but I don't think its for experienced makeup artists or those looking for wacky looks - but the average woman interesting in making themselves look the best version of themselves then this is the best book on makeup I own for that purpose. The photos are gorgeous and show the detail in good light. I have another makeup book where its hard to see the finish due to the heavy lighting and drama added to the picture which defeated the object for anyone trying to copy the look, but this book shows you wonderfully. I'd have liked even more everyday looks but then you cant have everything. An excellent purchase and I often grab it down just to read it. Lovely.
