About the Author
During her career as a make-up artist, Jemma Kidd has worked with many leading fashion designers and photographers and an array of famous faces, and her work has been featured in a host of magazines, such as Vogue, W, Elle and Tatler. Jemma was a spokesperson for Max Factor and Rimmel, and for five years she wrote a weekly make-up column for YOU Magazine. In 2003 Jemma founded the Jemma Kidd Make-up School in London, offering a range of professional and non-professional courses. She has developed and produced two make-up ranges that have received global recognition, the Jemma Kidd Make-up School range and the catwalk diffusion brand, JK Jemma Kidd. Passionate about nutrition and wellbeing, Jemma is the UK ambassador for Udo’s Oil. She is also a hard-working charity campaigner and in 2011 she launched the Jemma Kidd VISIONfund.

I received my copy of Jemma Kidd's latest book this morning and having thought there wasn't anything to add from her brilliant first one (Jemma Kidd Make-Up), I have been thrilled to find that this one is packed with even more beautiful pictures, step-by-step instructions and practical advice: even an experienced make-up artist will find gems of information!
The book is divided in to two sections: Part 1 'Making Make-up Work for You' which includes working with your skin-tone, best looks for different eye shapes and even recreating iconic make-up looks like Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren. Part 2: 'The Problem Solver' addresses multiple beauty & skincare concerns, including how to use make-up to look younger...perfect!! There are also 5 minute examples of a 'date' look and 'work' look to name just a couple.
Jemma has a wonderful writing style of educating women without patronising them and instead gives them the tools to use make-up with confidence. I am so impressed with this book that I plan to purchase more for my girlfriends as birthday/Christmas gifts as I know they will love it too. Highly highly recommended.
