5.0 out of 5 stars Great quilts from 2.5" strips 19 May 2014
By Barbara Rhoades TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
Jean writes the Circle of Nine books and I love them. This book is no less exciting to read.

It contains ten patterns all made from jelly rolls. Each pattern has a full page color photo and a paragraph about the quilt. The fabric requirements are set off in a colored, framed box.

There aren’t a lot of written instructions and only a few graphics so read what there is very carefully and you will have the information you need on how to make the quilt. There are tips throughout the book also set in a framed and colored box. What the author calls La Petite Lesson is a full page on how to do a particular technique in several of the patterns.

The colors are all bright and cheery but if you are an earth tone or sky person, you could just change up the color scheme and have it your own way. I’m thinking of using up the scraps I have saved and cut into 2.5” strips. Any of these ways will make you beautiful quilts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed. 26 July 2014

This book is ok but nothing special. The quilt designs aren't any different to those you find in any other book or magazine. I've stuck it on the shelf and that's probably where it will stay! If you are using jelly rolls there are much better books available.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great projects 29 May 2014
By L. Meadows - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The food theme seems a little affected but the projects are great. Before I saw this book, I had a hard time envisioning how I would/could use jelly rolls but this book opened my eyes to the possibilities and I am excited about getting started on a couple of the projects. I am a relatively new quilter and also new to sewing and these instructions are clear to me.
