The last week of Joan of Arc is filmed in an extraordinary vividness which makes us living all the feelings she knows. Sandrine Bonnaire remains one of the best Maid of the cinema. She makes more and best than simply play-acting : she's actually living the last days of the saint with a great strength and deep emotions.
And we are so shaken to see this young women suffering for God...
AMAZING !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Glorious 25 Mar 2010
An outstanding tour de force of acting - the battle scenes are tasteful and not laboured - a relief for anyone who is watching from a religious aspect. A glorious film. Sandrine Bonnaire is incredible - so believable that it is impossible to watch the very end! An excellent resource for all those who have a devotion to this saint or even R.E. teachers in Catholic schools.
