For a pocket-sized book, there are a TON of wonderful recipes packed in it! As a French teacher, I love having the French edition of the book, but even in English, the recipes are relatively simple to follow for a moderate-level cook. It is also great to have older recipes that are harder to find in newer cookbooks. My favorite section of the book is the part with pastry recipes, as I have found it difficult to find recipes that are not all complicated for someone still learning the ropes. All in all, it is a great cultural experience to read, make, and enjoy real French cuisine!
