yuletide reverie,

This review is from: A Jazz & Blues Christmas (Audio CD)
I already have an extensive collection of pop, jazz and blues music, to play at christmas when it comes around. So to find new, good stuff, is becoming more of a challange.A Jazz & Blues Christmas doesn't disappoint. It has several famililar artists, such as B.B King, and Ray Charles, but half a dozen new to me, Artists singing and playing christmas standards, either with a jazz/ blues slant, or in a New Orleans funky kind of way.A real joy to liven up any christmas, I'm still playing it !

A Perfect For Parties Album,
By AvidOldiesCollector - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: A Jazz & Blues Christmas (Audio CD)
Although containing just 10 tracks, which is skimpy by today's standards, this does provide you with over 33 minutes of some of the best jazz/blues Christmas tunes ever recorded, selected for the album by Dan Storper. In addition, it comes in a nice fold-out cardboard jewel case with thumbnail sketches on each artist/selection in English, Spanish and French, written by Roger Hahn, and with a catchy cover and CD graphic designed by Nicola Heindl.
There is also a re-listing of the tracks showing the songwriters and original albums from which they were culled, a link to the Putumayo World Music website, and an album discography of their various compilations to date, with reproductions of the covers. The sound quality is perfect. Just a perfect inexpensive addition to any Christmas music collection. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful:

A great selection. To our ears better than the New Orleans Christmas but both are great!

I got one for myself and loved it, got another for a gift. It is a festive CD and great to listen to around Christmas! Loved it.
