chill out,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Jazz Album 2003 (Audio CD)
If you are a fan of jazz music or just someone who enjoys listening to the relaxing tones of a saxophone then this is a must have for you! It features an all-encompassing blend of styles from van morrison to frank sinatra, from louis armstrong to ella fitzgerald. It is one of the most laid back and chilled albums I've heard for a long time featuring some of the old favourites and a few of the newer and more recents artists. Some of the best jazz singers who ever lived are brought together on this cd with its amazing blend of styles. It definitely caters for all requirements. However, I would not recommend this as driving music - It has the wonderful yet potentially dangerous ability of making you so relaxed that you might just drift off to sleep! so whether you enjoy listening to jazz or you are a first time sampler then definitely give this album a go as it allows you to sample some of the greatest jazz artists who ever lived!

A jazz album, but not THE jazz album,
This review is from: The Jazz Album 2003 (Audio CD)
This is a great CD to buy if you've heard a few pieces of jazz, but don't know what they're called or who they're buy, because chances are they'll turn up on this CD. As an introduction to jazz music you can't go wrong, and it'll give you a taste for the different styles and sub-genres within jazz. But on the flip-side, jazz covers a large spectrum of music, so while there will be plenty of music you'll like in this 2 CD set, there will more than likely be quite a few songs you don't like, I found I only liked about 50% of what was on the CDs. If you want all the familiar classics in one place, then these CDs will be the answer.
