Good book! 15 July 2009

This book is very concise and very well written. In just the first 7 chapters that we studied in my programming class, I was able to understand everything that it said and start writing programs right away. None of the over-technical bs that authors use just to feel good about themselves.

Simple written .. but there are other books too 18 Oct 2011

Written in plain and simple English, this is the recommended book in USC. Though this has are no particular flaws, there are better books in the market - the Dummies and Head First Java are much more enjoyable and engrossing.
