I recently stopped taking these supplements after a year and a half. I took them for nueropathy of the toes. My glucose level recently dropped and I remembered these pills convert glucose into energy. There are warnings that diabetics may have to take less insulin with Alpha Lipoic Acid. If you are taking Synthroid for your thyroid you should not take these. This was stated on another website.
I was never aware of this and threw all my pills in the garbage.. I am on Synthroid and have low blood sugar. Synthroid is a common drug also know as L-THYROXINE Be careful to check side effects on medical web sites or more importantly with your Dr. before taking any supplements. Did you know that while Milk Thistle helps your liver it also produces estrogen? Please be aware and be cautious. While these supplements aren't good for me it doesn't mean they don't help others.
