Terry Brooks was the first fantasy writer I read a book by. But I must say after reading the sword of SHANNARA and all his other books in the Shannara collection, I was inpressed by this book.
As you find in most writers there first book is the best one but for Terry I think this one allmost beates it. Do not want to give any of the book away but it is a MUST read for any fantasy fans.
