A word of advice to anyone going to Japan, if you dont have this book and you dont speak Japanese, then you will have a very very hard time! I went in November 2010 and stayed in Shinjuku, to be honest I was surprised how very little English that is spoken or simply do not want try even in the airport! Once I popped this baby out, I was seen as a good tourist again lol.

A MUST buy if you intend to go Tokyo!

This Phrase book is amazing, if like me you want something small and yet compact with all the information you need, then this is the phrase book you want. its very practical and easy to read. they have made it so all you would need is this one book and you could easily get by in Japan.

I used to study Japanese before so I just needed the simple one to review. The size of book is very small but I guess it got pretty much everything. But if you want to study more serious grammars, I don't recommend this one.
