Product Description

Product Description

The Jamo i300, a stand-alone powered subwoofer/satellite speaker system that turns your iPod into the heart of a fully-fledged home entertainment system, offers stunning hi-fi quality performance. Comprising an iPod control dock, a powerful active subwoofer plus two compact satellite loudspeakers this attractively-styled package comes with a long-range radio frequency remote control...so you can control the system, your iPod (and your tunes) from another room. But this 2.1-channel system's versatility extends far beyond filling your room with tunes stored on your iPod.

The control dock (which charges your iPod too) is also fitted with an extra auxiliary input on its rear panel so that you can hook up your computer, portable DVD player or games console to the system. Still got another source that you want to hook up? No problem - there's yet another input on the subwoofer itself.

Setting up the system is simplicity itself. A new Universal iPod 'well' means that we can guarantee that you'll be able to use any dock-able iPod (non-dockable 1st/2nd generation iPods can be hooked up via the auxiliary input).

How can we guarantee hi-fi quality sound? Using solidly constructed 2-way satellites helps. The speakers supplied with this system are magnetically-shielded boxes - finished in high gloss white - that can be wall or table-top mounted. These little marvels feature a precision-engineered 76mm/3in co-axial driver that delivers truly pin-point sonic imaging. What's more, the subwoofer is just as capable with a high-efficiency 150 Watt Class D digital amplifier powering an 6.5in bass driver, all housed in a solid but very compact reflex-ported enclosure. It also has a build-in 2 x 75 Watt amplifier for the satellite speakers, delivering plenty of power to the A 102 speakers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown away-literally!, 30 Aug 2007
This review is from: Jamo i300B - iPod Speaker System - Black (Electronics)
I listened to about six I-Pod stations in John Lewis, including the Bose system. The very helpful assistant said "theres only one choice really" and proceeded to play each one. When we came to the Jamo we both smiled! There really was only one choice but unfortunately for JL I checked the price on Amazon later and there was only one choice there too! Amazon delivered spot on time as usual and the Jamo sounded even better at home. People are literally astounded when they hear it. It delivers a thumping base sound and great top end accoustics. This was meant to be a short term solution to me buying a more expensive system but my Jamo isnt going anywhere! Fantastic product!

If you're looking for a speaker dock, look no further.

I'm a Bose devotee, but this offering from Jamo is phenomenal - if what you want is good sound from an ipod system, buy this.

tip - turn your EQ on your ipod to 'treble enhance' and let the Jamo sub make up for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complete no-brainer, 27 Sep 2006

This review is from: Jamo i300B - iPod Speaker System - Black (Electronics)
This is the first time I've ever felt moved to review a product on the web.
I picked a Jamo to replace my lounge stereo (running my ipod through the aux would have been awkward). I've had it for a week now and am delighted with the sound quality and the elegance of the ipod / jamo combination.
The sound is definitely good enough to replace any but a really top end audiophile CD setup - fantastic at all volumes, can really fill the room and looks very cool indeed.
Build is to a high standard and the 2 aux inputs give a lot of flexibility for the future. Different class from the Bose, the Apple or anything else I could get a demonstration of - complete no-brainer once you've heard it.
Well done Jamo!!
