I'm a big fan of the show, so i was eagaly a waiting to get my hands on the book to see what it was like...and as i hoped it was amazing. As a teenager myself i especially like it because i know that the issues covered in the series and the book atually happen and they are not fiction that someone has thought up. This book is especially good because in my opinion it is from the pionts of view of the two best characters. It's real, funny in parts but it also covers serious issues aswell. Its not like anything i have seen before and i will be glued to the screen to find out what happens to these 6 london teenages in the future. I hope there will be more books to come after these 2. ....okay, this little book is really fine. It sure is great to get inside the heads of the two coolest characters when you've allready seen their tribulations on the tv show. Most of all, it's nice to see that the book carries the show's legacy : teen drama, okay, so let's be sensitive....but avoid the cheesy exageration of others teen shows, please. So, all in all, this is a great item for the show's fans. But I really think that a dvd release of the four As If's series would be much more enjoyable. C'mon you whoever holds the rights to this fantastic show, give the fans what they really want : a wonderfull dvd set of all the episodes!!! In Brian Wilson's words : wouldn't it be nice?
It is great to have some books like this one. It's like watching the tv series, but it is good anyways. As If was a great tv series and Jamie and Sooz were the stars of it. It really recommend the show, because it is funny, dramatic and very realistic.
