This product has a Prometal non-stick coating, which is a premium coating reinforced with ultra hard minerals. This coating is metal utensil safe (except whisks and knives). This product is induction compatible, dishwasher safe and oven safe up to 260°C. The riveted stainless steel handle with silicone insert enables a secure and comfortable grip. We got this pan to replace an old oven proof casserole pot that has given great service for many years. We wanted something that we could start cooking in on the hob and then transfer to the oven to finish off. We wanted a non-stick pot of a reasonable size and with a glass lid (which we'd found useful in the old pot). Pots that fitted this bill were difficult to find in the shops though. Many looked good but weren't oven proof. So we bought this one on the net without seeing it. It seems well made and so far has done a good job. It's a little too big for our hob - other pans have to get moved too far oof their hot plates when we're using it, and the solid metal handles seem to get hotter than the hollow part plastic/rubber ones on our old pan. The non-stick surface does it's job very well and apart from its size we're happy with it.

Good quality but does not have the Thermo Spot as advertised.
I would have given it a 5 star rating but the only thing is I was expecting to get the Thermo Spot which is Tefal's patented technology since we use other Jamie Oliver pots and pans with the same technology. HOwever, the stewpot is good and cooks and cleans well too.
Would recommend to anyone who is not specifically after the "Thermo Spot" Technology.

The pot is fine, well packaged and seems to be well made. I have not used it yet, but as I have an induction hob and wanted a pot that would take reasonable oven temperatures as well, choice was relatively limited.
There is no thermospot in this pot. If you are buying this pot for that USP, look elsewhere.
One other thing to note, the care instructions that come with the pot state that it can take oven temperatures up to 260C for a maximum of one hour. It is not clear whether it can take lower temperatures for longer or not.
