Format:DVD
Here is a quality reissue on DVD of a program first available on VHS, and used in a "Biography" TV Episode.
For those who bought the VHS package, of course it's great to own its' counterpart in the new medium, though I'd put the value (in stars) at *4*.
Live performance clips: Mike Douglas from May of 1971, "Get Up (I Feel Like Being Like A Sex Machine)"; "Please, Please, Please" from Newport in 1969; "Say It Loud - I'm Black And I'm Proud" from Fort Dix, New Jersey, also in 1969.
A terrific interview with the Star conducted by Deanna Brown. Other articulate and thoughtful comments by the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Dan Ackroyd.
This DVD makes a fine complement to the recent "Soul Survivor" DVD.
