Hi folks...
Right then. James Bibby, husband of one and father of four, and a resident of the Wirral. I've been a writer since 1980, when some kind soul in the script department at Not The Nine o'Clock News decided that the item I'd sent to them was good enough to use. During the 1980's I wrote for TV sketch shows such as OTT and The Lenny Henry Show, during the 1990's I turned to writing comic fantasy novels, and since the turn of the millennium I've been a house-husband, looking after the kids. Now that two of them have left home and the other two are old enough to shout at themselves, I've started to write again. I'm amazed to find I can still do it...
My four books, originally published by Orion, have now been painfully adapted for Kindle download on Amazon. They are Ronan the Barbarian, Ronan's Rescue, Ronan's Revenge, and Shapestone. I hope to follow these in the summer of 2012 with a small collection of six short stories, four of which have been published in anthologies by Mike Ashley. (Three of them are set in Midworld, and two of these deal with the further misadventures of Inspector Heighway, first encountered in Shapestone.) Then I'll be working on my fifth book, as yet only half-written, and provisionally entitled "Interlopers".
For more news and information (and even your horoscope... yes, really...) please have a look at my website. It's the usual www dot thing, followed by jamesbibby.webeden.co.uk - and I hope you enjoy it.
James.
