4.0 out of 5 stars LMH Official Dictionary of Jamaican Herbs 4 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
A handy, quick guide for those who are interested in herbalism and folk remedies.
As there tends to be a variety of common names for the same type of plant, the LMH Official Guide to Jamaican Herbs & Medicinal Plants, provides the latin names of herbs commonly used in Jamaica and the rest of the Carribean. This guide may be useful for those who already have an advanced background in herbalism, as this book does not give an indication of the amounts/measurements of herbs that can be used for a specific ailment. However, for people starting out in the field, as well as a general interest, this book can also function as a basic, but good, guide.

I haven't received my herbs yet but I know what they can do and it does work. I had sciatica just before Easter. The pain was so intense I had to go to A&E as couldn't get GP appointment. 50mg of Tramadol 4 times a day, 5 mg of Diazapam 4 times a day, 500 mg of Naproxen twice a day. Took them for 5 days. No relief only knocked me out cold. Tuesday went to GP gave me 1000mg of Tramadol 4 times a day. By Friday I was demented with pain. A work colleague had just returned from Jamaica with loads of bush. I drank my first cup Friday nite. Saturday morning, NO PAIN, not even a twinge!! It's a miracle cure and I am spreading the word. Thank God for Nature.
