Product Description

The Heynai bestowed upon the people of Estia one great weapon to fight the forces of evil, a set of five stones which possess unlimited powers. They housed them in a protective box and entrusted it to a Keeper, a guardian chosen from Earth. For centuries, the Stones and the Keepers defended their world against wizards, tyrants and armies. Until the day that two ordinary fifteen year old boys from England broke them.
In ‘Jake West – The Keeper of the Stones’ the boys fought battles, freed an entire army from slavery, and waged war against an evil wizard and his legions of murderous beasts. Now, the beleaguered Rebel Army is marching to the city of Dassilliak, pursued by the tyrant, King Vantrax, his savage beast warlord, Sawdon, and his entire Northern Army. Ahead of them lies a sizeable enemy force which is waiting to spring a deadly trap. They are running out of time and they are in desperate need of a miracle. The only weapon they have lies in ruins. Jake West is the only one who can restore it.
But Jake and the seriously wounded Ben have gone home!

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and very enjoyable, but ... 17 Dec 2012

The book is indeed very good, as the other reviews state. Lots of suspense, lots of action, some magic, ...
Only thing I find a little frustrating is that it is almost an exact copy of another fantasy story told by Mr. Tolkien ...
Names and places have been changed, but for the rest, it is pretty much a carbon copy.

Nonetheless I will buy the 3rd book also, just to finish the story, and because it is indeed entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars I didn't want the book to end 1 July 2012

After reading Jake West - The Keeper of the Stones I began reading Jake West - Warriors of the Heynai immediately afterwards. The first book leaves you wanting more and I wasn't dissappointed, I got a whole load more. More characters, more intrigue, more suspense, more drama, more battles and more insight into a world not too dissimilar to ours that I now feel part of. I didn't want the book to end as I knew that I would need to read the third and final book to get all of my questions answered and I cannot wait for its release. Please hurry, the suspense is almost too much to take!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Would it live up to "keeper of the stones"???? 1 April 2012
By andy
Format:Paperback
Sometimes you read a book knowing the door has been left open for a follow up novel and quite often the second book leaves you dissapointed and it takes away some of the magic from the original book! Let me tell you right here that this IS NOT the case with Warriors of th Heynai!

The author has continued the story and kept his belief, trust and faith in the characters from the first book, as a reader you feel their emotion and believe in what they are trying to achieve and every so often Bens sense of humour would lighten a desperate situation.

This book was enjoyable from start to finish, a credit to the author. It felt as though the author has evolved from a first time writer (Jake West Keeper of the Stones) being his first book, into an accomplished author that has a pride and belief in his ability and work, great stuff!!!!!!!!
