This book hits the spot with young boys. Good clear story playing into the creepy garden wonderland in a gentle boy hero way. Neatly illustrated in brightly coloured dynamic I've found it great bedtime reading and am asked to read this repeatedly to a wee 'I'm a big boy now' four year old.

Reading all other reviews i thought i would take a chance and order this book for my kids. I wasnt disappointed and neither were they! My 2 little boys simply love this book, I cant praise it highly enough. This is head and shoulders above most other kids books and well done to the author for introducing my little boys to some poetry! Also, the spider on each page is a great idea. My youngest son who is one and a half loves trying to find the spider on each page.

Fabulous, what a lovely and wonderful story, my kids loved it. Great story and obviously by a jewel of an author with talent for creativity. A rare diamond in the modern age.

Jake and Dixie Super Magic Lightening Boy
This is a wonderful book written in the rhyming prose that kiddies love. It has adventure but is not too scary. There is a hidden spider in every page for a child to try to spot. Read more

a fantastic story!
I bought this for my 4 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The scary spider bit is brilliant! I'd reccomend it to anyone.
