There's a lot about jail in here. I was more interested in the routines, and they deliver. Tried and tested.

Great book that tells us how convicts get big in American prisons. Think what you like about them as human beings - and most are unpleasant and shouldn't be allowed out - but, good grief, can they build physiques using the most basic moves and basic equipment. Routines using bodyweight, barbells, and a combination of both are laid out in this excellent book. One gripe (but not worth deleting a star): an index at the back would have been useful, but that is lacking in many self-published books. Still - one of the best books of its kind.

Excellent read, well written with all types of athlete in mind. Plenty of background information as well as an extensive range of various workout routines. I'll be flicking through this book in years to come to find different exercises and tips.

As always Mr Bryant has done his research and produced another great book.It includes Great programs and he has done a lot of research into the history of prison training. It's an honest look at what really works for obtaining results in the shortest amount of time possible. This book and his "Powerbuilding basics" are two of the best
ebooks I've had the pleasure of reading. If you wanna bench big,get a pair of 20inch guns or just improve your fitness in your hotel room I recommend this book to you!

Some really good workouts in here. Covers quite a broad range of training from strength to cardio. I liked the neck section. Well worth kindle price.

Okay, where do I start, well firstly the book is quite a large book in size, so there I was happy, secondly there are 3 main workouts for you to try, a 4 day, 3 day or a 2 day per week workouts.

These workouts are shown for 4 weeks each, then you go back to start and add weight. Then you go in the book and there are specialization workouts for the forearms, biceps, chest & back.

Also there is a chapter on neck exercises & burpee exercises.

This book contains both bodyweight and weights routines, the weight routines contain some of the bodyweight exercises.

The book does not contain large format writing as some books just to fill up the pages and make the book bigger.

The authors do a good job of getting to the point of the workouts and that gets you training quicker.

Just a little note here, if you have noticed that I have not said how good the workouts are, well I have just received the book and this review is just what I thought of the book, I will write another review after I have tried the workouts for awhile.

I would also like to see the authors writing another book on Jailhouse Strong, maybe an advanced book or maybe a specialization book, but I would think that they could do a second book like this, I would definitely purchase a new one.

I am hoping the workouts will be as good as the book, but as the authors say 'this book will provide you with the plan. You have to provide the work ethic.'
