To be honest, when I first heard that Alanis was releasing an acoustic version of JLP, I wasn't that excited, and expected it to be quite boring. Having now heard the album in full, I can say that I was wrong big time.
This album is incredible, in my opinion so much better than the original (which I love) and most of the tracks have a completely different feel.
Her first acoustic album was definately released too soon into her career, but she has perfected it this time, its simply sublime.
And you should get it just for the new version of Your House, which has gone from being an alright bonus track to being one of the best things that shes recorded ever.

JLP #1 saw me through a tough time a decade ago - when I was very angry. Fortunately - this softer version appeals to the calmer person I now am! To those who say this doesn't work for songs that need to rock like You Oughta Know... my opinion is that they work great. The truth is that anger goes through different phases... and it seems to me that this quieter, yet just as intense, version is rather like the point in an argument when the screaming is over but emotions are just as raw - and the person breaks down, exhausted. The point when you repeat yourself - in a weary/quiet, but no less pained or desperate, manner. As such, these sensitive reworkings are every bit as amazing. Highly recommended!

I bought the original Jagged Little Pill 10 years ago and it has always been my most favourite album ever, nothing else has topped it. I had just ordered my copy of this new acoustic one when I went to find my old copy, to find that the actual cd has gone missing from its case, so I wasn't happy! Thankfully this cd arrived today and I have something to compensate my loss!!
Its amazing, after 10 years the songs still sound raw and fantastic. It brought back memories of when I used to listen to it over and over when I first bought it. As one reviewer said, there isn't one song you want to skip, they are all truly amazing.
I have seen Alanis live twice and she's unrealy, so much energy!

Loved it!
These are the best songs Alanis ever made and they sound even better as acoustic. A must-buy for all Alanis fans.
