Good film.,

Bought this based upon the reviews on here and have to say I wasnt disapointed.
The film is very film noir, and is quite dark in places. Mike Reid is excellent as a gangster and the plot does twist and turn a lot. The lad playing the lead is different to the typical macho type lead male and looks quite out of shape in places - which was re-assuring to me as a middle aged bloke. I did find myself shouting at the film in a few places. Like when he has no memory and yet doesnt seem overly concerned at asking the bird to tell him all she knows about him. And when he`s wandering about near a river covered in blood - surely you`d want to clean up asap to avoid looking so suspecious! Still, all in all, for the price, excellent film, and id recommend it. Im now looking forward to watching the follow up film.

Loved the comic and now love the film - sad to see it was Mike Reid's last movie, but it was a good one to finish on - especially liked the cameo from Cantona!

If Guy Ritchie's style is Damon Runyon set in London then "Jack Says" is film noir set in London and Paris. Drifting through amnesia and confusion like Philip Marlowe sapped by Moose Molloy he encounters a nightmarish cast of characters including an excellent turn from Rula Lenska before ending with a curiously naïve conclusion. The story-line is pretty fragile and I did not think it held completely, but if it was not quite "Memento" it gave it a good shot with some excellent red-herrings. This is a B movie but an A side version.
