I've owned a variety of gaiters for hill walking, they are a useful accessory when the undergrowth is long and wet but leggings would be cumbersome. I also like Jack Pyke's English Oak camo gear. Unlike the other jackets and trousers I've bought these are poorly designed. They have a wire loop to go under the boot that is far too long and snags if you're unlucky. The uppers are too baggy and the fastening is awkward. As the zip starts at the top and is secured by poppers top and bottom it can become undone at the bottom and loosen the seal around the boot.
Sorry JP, redesign required!
