I dont really think this is fit for purpose. I like to wear a snood or neck gater over my nose and mouth sometimes if its particularly cold but the length of this one means it no longer reaches down to the nape of the neck. Also, the drawstring seems like a good idea but its very uncomfortable across the nose in practice.
I would suggest there are many others on the market that would do a much better job.

This is a good value gaiter if you compare it to the popular brands. I cannot find anything bad to say about it.I even like the colour.

Brought the gaiter to wear with my ambulance uniform when I am dealing with patients who have been injured or taken ill while they are out. It is lovely and warm and can fold up fairly small so I can put it in my jacket pocket when not needed.
