A really good book, it took me back to my teenage years and reminded me of books I used to read (way back then!) but with a modern twist...

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting, well-paced and fun! 11 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Well, I finished this yesterday and it was such fun to read: a proper good-old adventure story for kids (that being said, I'm a 33yr old man and it carried me along as much as it would a 10yr old!). The plot was exciting and well paced - especially the action sequences - and there are some fab characters. This book inhabits the territory where Indiana Jones and The Goonies collide - great stuff!

4.0 out of 5 stars If Indiana Jones was from Yorkshire 22 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
OK, I'm not ten years old, but I have read this book over the last twenty four hours and couldn't put it down until the very end. Based in the area around the Yorkshire and Lancashire borders, it has some great myths, which build an interest in historical details that many a young adventurer would appreciate. The author has built up the characters well and the plot is as interesting as any Indiana Jones story, be it a Yorkshire Indiana Jones. The level of expertise Jules has on historical matters is astounding, if not unrealistic, but I suppose any young person with an I-Phone could dig up these details in a matter of seconds. A great read that will grab the attention of budding young adventurers everywhere. I now need to stop looking at the names on gravestones and look forward to the next adventure.
