After a family friend bought one of his drawings for 20p, six-year-old Jack came up with the idea to "draw anything" in return for donations to the hospital that treats his two-year-old brother. His parents set up a website and thought they might make £100. After two weeks, Jack had over 500 picture requests and had raised over £22,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation.
Parents Ed and Rose with Jack, Toby and Noah appeared on the Fern Britton Show and Jack's project was featured on Russell Howard's Good News four times. Coverage by STV news, BBC news, and CBBC Newsround have all helped spread the word about this creative and generous little boy.
Jack is slowly but steadily drawing the requested pictures which range from a "dinosaur diving into a pool of jelly" (#1) to "my (extremely bald) friend Brian dancing like a crazy man" (#80). He doesn't draw every day, only when he wants to, and his parents estimate that he'll finish at the end of August. A brilliant wee book by a brilliant wee boy!,

Six year old Jack Henderson is a real star. This book about his brilliant idea of raising money for the hospital that looked after his brother, by drawing pictures in exchange for donations, is as inspiring, funny and colourful as Jack and all his fabulous drawings...If you buy this delightful book,you are helping sick children and you are guaranteed to smile. How many books about other 'stars' of the TV and internet can offer as much? Highly recommended. I bought copies for friends too, as I was sure they'd love Jack's drawings, and want to donate on his website.

INSPIRING !!!,

I have the great pleasure and Honour of being a page "donator" drawing#71..I also have the pleasure of meeting the family,for my "sitting".Truly awsome ,inspiring and touching story about a young lad who is raising funds for a Hospital that takes so much care of his little brother.He did this by doing drawings for donations. The families first dream was to raise £100 ,now it is well over the ,I do beleive 25K !!! GO JACK !!,and dont forget the pit crew Mum,Dad and two little brothers Noah and Toby (a.k.a) TEAM HENDO . This book is about a normal family doing great charity work for a great cause ,without the help and exposure that so called "celebrities" get for putting there name to a cause. Buy it ,read it but most of all enjoy the wonderful bright pictures of a 6year old boy!

great for young and old,

This book is amazing and truly captures the drive of such a young boy.I purchased the book after folowing on facebook.Since receiving it have read it cover to cover.Have also spoke about it at work and encouraged others to support.Jacks mum and dad have also assisted in the story and although a sad story there is also joy.
