Very good sound quality and the headphones sit in my ear more fixedly than other inner-ear bud headphones I've had for the past 5 years so if I only considered that I'd give them 5 stars however the headphones didn't come with a selection of buds, only the medium ones so I had to salvage some small ones from old headphones I had. Also, the mic works fine but it doesn't shuffle back and forth as described. It plays, pauses, and can shuffle forward only by double clicking it - it's fiddly. Hence my 4 star review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Multifunctional Capabilities 15 Jan. 2011
By Maclen - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The sound quality on the Jabra RHYTHM Corded Stereo Headset isn't the greatest but it's not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be.

This comes with 3 different earbud fittings but they were somewhat tricky to get a good seat in my ear canal. This in turn, can really affect the sound quality because without a good seal in your ear, the sound becomes "thin". When I did get it seated properly, the sound was good but not great. The mids were slightly washed but the bass and highs were fine.

While using it as a phone headset, I did find the answer button to be very convenient (worked as advertised with my 3Gs iphone). I do a lot of walking and have never found a decent headset that allowed me to retrieve a call without having to answer the call directly on the phone. With this headset, I just tap the answer button once and the call connects; the same tap ends the call as well. The wind-noise reduction technology of this headset also worked decently. I tested it out with a friend and he said my voice sounded clear even though I was out walking on a fairly windy day.

One other plus with this headset was the included clothing clip. This did help the buds to remain snuggly lodged in my ears since the weight of the cord wasn't constantly pulling down on the buds and dislodging them as I walked.

Overall this is a decent phone headset with acceptable sound quality for listening to music. While not superb, the versatility and price make these worth getting.

2.0 out of 5 stars Two sets and same defect developed in both of them.... 23 Dec. 2010
By Careful shopper - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Final Update 4/16/2011

Volume on the right side earbud on the replacement set dropped down to very low volume the same as the first set did, I can no longer hear anything from that side although as before the microphone still works on the side.
As before these have not been mistreated in the least. These are were great product when working, but hard to say good things if they won't last more than this length of time and use.

Feel the need to lower my rating at this point, 4 stars when working, 2 stars now that the second pair failed on the same side.

Update 01/24/2011;

With very little and very gentle use, the right side earbud volume dropped so low that you can't hear much even at very high settings on the phone or mp3 player. The microphone is on this side, but mic continues to work as does the right side earbud.

Called Jabra support, then had to reply to an Email with receipt scan attached (you can also Fax) now waiting to see results. They claim replacement will be sent out 5-7 days after they see the receipt.
I asked about the fact that I could not register products on their web site and was told they don't register your products any longer, so be sure to keep your sales receipts.

Update 01/31/2011

Warranty replacement headset arrived from Jabra just as they said it would, speedy support, product working as it should.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I primarily needed a good microphone and headset for phone calls, stereo music listening on my phone was an after thought for the most part as I have an iPod for that, but hearing a phone call in both ears is a real plus for me.
Very nice to find out that this Jabra Rhythm headset does have a good microphone and I can be heard without problems or background noise, AND I can hear my phone calls at a much reduced volume level which is always a good thing.
Fit was perfect right out of the box without the need to change ear tips, but it does come with two other sized, cord is soft and flexible with a good length to reach either my belt holder , car seat or desk. Cord is just over 40 inches, plug to the "Y", micophone on cord hangs right at mouth level on me.
EarBud marked "Right" is longer as it goes around the back of your head rather than hanging in front of you, bud marked "Left" has the mic on the line and is shorter so mic hangs by your mouth.
In case you might have a phone that the connections are different on, it comes with an adapter to change the connections, another nice touch from Jabra.
Music does not sound as good as it does with my more expensive earbuds on an iPod, but then I wouldn't expect it to with either a phone or this headset, however it sounds pretty good and will come in handy when I don't have my iPod with me.
Be sure to only use one side in your ear if you are driving as these do seal outside sounds out pretty well.
3.0 out of 5 stars Very Comfortable But Not Fabulous Sound 27 Dec. 2010
By Karie Hoskins - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
So I chose these headphones because they mention "noise isolating ear buds and microphone wind-noise reduction technology". After running with them, I can report that while this claim is true, and that they are MUCH more comfortable than any other earbuds I have used, the sound quality is very tinny.
Since I mostly use them for music while I run, the sound quality isn't the MOST important feature, but it does matter. Also, the buds kept falling out of one of my ears, and I kept having to adjust them.
So I would recommend them for users who might need comfortable headphones for travelling - where you will have them in your ears for extended periods of time - or maybe for users who will use them for both calls and listening to music/movies.
2.0 out of 5 stars The headphones started at 5 stars...but didn't stay there. 23 Jan. 2011
By The Matrix Fan - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
When I first started using these headphones, I thought they were superb. The noise cancelling earbuds worked beautifully, and they made my lunchtime treadmill runs very enjoyable. I had a friend test out these headphones on his HTC EVO from Sprint. He liked being able to play/pause songs while taking or making a call.
Here's where the downward spiral begins:
After only 2 weeks of use, the left headphone stopped working at full volume. The right earbud was fine, but the left one went down to about 10% volume.
I looked on the Jabra website for support, and it had a form to fill out. Normally this would not be an issue, but the field to choose a Jabra product was missing on the webpage, so I could not submit an inquiry. I tried this from 2 separate computers, no luck.
The next Monday I called 1-800-327-2230 - Jabra's support center is open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday, Eastern Standard Time.
I was connected to a woman named Whitney who asked for my name, phone # and email address. I gave her all the information and advised this was a gift so I did not have a sales receipt. She took down my address and said she would escalate the case. I asked for a confirmation email, which I was promised, but I did not receive.
The next day, to make sure my information was taken down correctly, I called in the afternoon and spoke to a man named Leo. He advised me the case was already escalated. I asked him to confirm my street address, and it turns out the woman I spoke to took down the wrong street name. I gave the correct street name to this man and asked for an email confirmation, which I was promised, but did not get.
2 weeks have come and gone, and I have no replacement headphones.
As I said, I was willing to give this a 5 star review, but the product stopped functioning after 2 weeks...then I couldn't submit an email inquiry...then I was promised by 2 representatives that I would have a replacement pair mailed to me, which never happened.
These headphones earn only 2 stars for the low quality of the product and the poor (i.e. nonexistent) customer service.
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible sound quality for an earbud 23 Dec. 2010
By Water Monkey - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Usually my biggest gripe with an earbud is the comfort and the inability to fit well in my ear. After trying to use these earbuds I can say the worst thing about them is their sound quality, or lack of sound at all. Literally all tones in the level of a singers voice are muted at best. Every song sounded like someone recorded a live concertusuing a beat up mini-cassette recorder.
To test these earbuds I first checked the fit. It was nice they came with 3 different size sleeves, but that is common these days. Once I found a sleeve that was comfortable I plug the headphones into my PC and brought up GrooveShark. When the songs would play all I was getting was the instruments and backup vocals, no leads. I thought it might have something to do with the GrooveShark recordings, but I plugged in my Sennheiser HD 212Pro and they worked great. I even tried using the additional jack they provide thinking I had a bad connection; still no lead voices.
I tried everything I could think of to get these to work, but to no avail. It is possible that I was given a deffective pair to review. I can't imagine a company like Jabra would put out such a bad product. I would be wary about buying these earbuds. Either they have terrible sound quality, or they are deffective (or both). Either way I can't imagine them lasting very long.
