Connectivity problems, 28 July 2006
This review is from: Jabra BT620 Blue Tooth Stereo Headset (Electronics)
I got this headset due to its ability to work both as a stereo audio headset, and it's phone override. Unfortunately, I had Belkin Bluetooth adaptors, which claim to support A2DP. I couldn't make them work with the headset. I can't determine whether that's because the Belkin adaptors are not up to the task, or whether the headset is behaving unusually.
I've now acquired a Jabra Bluetooth dongle as well: the A320s. Within 10 minutes, the headset's working fine.

Great multi-function headset with a few quirks, 17 Jun 2006
This review is from: Jabra BT620 Blue Tooth Stereo Headset (Electronics)
I have just received this pretty advanced headset today. I really looked forward to use the headset, since it would give me the opportunity to listen to my favorite music, without missing a phone call.
The headset plays music using the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). Unfortunately this is still a bit rare today. My Windows PC does not support this at time of writing, my Ubuntu Dapper Drake is a smaller nightmare to get Bluetooth Audio to work, and my advanced Motorola A1000 cell phone's Bluetooth has enough problems with plain file transfers and is constantly loosing the Bluetooth connection.
Still, I did know this when I bought the headset, so why did I even bother? Well, I AM planning to go through the Linux Bluetooth driver nightmare, and I am furthermore planning on buying a Nokia A2DP audio gateway for my stereo equipment at home. As long as the headset (2-way voice) functionality works, this headset fulfills my whishes for a wireless stereo headset that can be used for VoIP, music and cell phone calls.
The headset also doubles as a pair of USB headsets, which is pretty neat when charging the headset, though the cable is a bit thick, and tends to be slighty annoying.
Things to note:
Voice (microphone) ONLY works in headset mode (phone/VoIP). The microphone is not active when used in HiFi mode (A2DP or USB)
Music quality is ok, though not quite on par with any of my Sennheizer headsets.
To me, the behind-the-neck strap takes some getting used to. It is definately a good idea if your hair/hat doesn't allow the traditional over-the-head type of headsets. I find it a bit uncomfortable, but I'll get used to it.
I have heard some crackling noise every 60 or so seconds when playing the headset in USB mode. This may be a problem related to this specific headset or to Windows.
General talk quality (microphone and speakers) is good, but the headset is too sensitive to wind to be used out doors.

Jabra BT620's, 20 Oct 2009
This review is from: Jabra BT620 Blue Tooth Stereo Headset (Electronics)
I would like to commend purchasing these headphones for use with any bluetooth mobile phone or portable device.
Having bought several different brands of headphones in the quest for the best performance (control features and sound quality) I can honestly say that these are the best on the market in the price range. Putting it simply, the sound quality is the best I have come across. The control features are by far the easiest to operate in any wireless headphones I have tried. The right and left ear shell have basically 3 buttons on each (2 to the top of each shell and the large centre button which is surrounded in a blue flashing circle of LED lights) I have found in the past that other makes are fidgety with very small buttons which can lead to confusion and accidentally stopping or skipping tracks and interrupting your musical pleasure, the same however cannot be said of these Jabra headphones. I have actually bought a second set now for the day when the non replaceable battery gives up the fight. Do yourself a favour, buy these! Or like me buy 2 sets so that you can keep going long after the first set stop working. There is a bespoke charger in the plastic container which is the commonly used mini USB connection so you may find that you are able to charge them using you mobile phone charger as well, thus allowing you to keep a charger at home and one in the office/work should you need to charge them before travelling back home. If like me you are a magpie attracted to anything with a LED attached to it, these will not disappoint, two bright flashing circles of blue light assure you of all the envious looks that you crave from the poor folk with wired headphones. Yours Kevin (see user pride-of-the-clyde on eBay)
