Bluetooth without the blues,

I have had the BT250 version of this (which is the same apart from no vibrate function) and it has to be the best piece of technology I have ever bought. It is super comfortable, I have worn it for 6 hours without even noticing it. The design means it is much more stable than the headsets that hang off your ear. I wear glasses and it doesnt interfere in anyway. Battery life is excellent both on standby and talk time. Provided with extra and different sized ear pieces is great and often this is a way for manufacturers to make more dosh. Excellent call quality, easy to pair and the voice dialling works perfectly too. Mine broke about a week ago when I stood on it but I have sat on mine numerous times and its fine.

Sound quality is terrible - very crackly sound even when the phone is close to the ear piece. The sound gets repidly worse as the battery depletes. Jabra Technical support never reply to my e-mails on the matter, so I would not recommend this headset. I would almost classify it as "not fit for purpose", but didn't return it, because I thought originally the problems were with compatibility with my old Sony Ericsson phone. Now I have a "Supported" Nokia 6230i, and it's no better.
A colleague has one of the newest Jabra headsets, and that is no better, so I am going to have to look at another manufacturer.

I'll start by saying: surely, how well this headset works with your phone is down to the quality of the bluetooth circuit inside the phone...?
This headset is fantastic! Less than a 2-hour charge gives you a surprising amount of usage-as mentioned by other reviews. Its also very comfortable due to its design, since obviously the device sits around your ear as opposed to some that simply attach to your ear with a highly uncomfortable plastic clip... The gels are great-this fits like a glove. About half-hour into wearing it i forgot i had it on... And I've certainly had no problem with the gels falling off. Also, unlike phones with a boom arm earpiece, constant rotation wont break/damage wires inside the device-something those who've owned a few headsets in their time will sympathise with. With regards to reception...i think this is excellent. You can easily stray the 10 meters the specifications state and then a little more (although getting to this distance-yes, you do lose a little sound quality). I have to say that i haven't had any issues with crackling, static or people being unable to hear me. Somebody even commented (bearing in mind i was walking in the street at the time-this must be where wind-noise reduction kicks in) that i was clearer when i switched to my headset than with the microphone built in to my phone! As for distortion in the earpiece, you'd have to be half-deaf to ever turn it up loud enough to hear any! The single criticism i have of this voice is the one-touch button, mainly with voice-dial. Perhaps one time out of ten i press it to go into voice-dial mode and it doesn't respond, or i attempt to redial the last number i called and it goes to voice-dial mode. This isn't too much of a frequent problem and only those who would use this in the car-A LOT!-would notice. Although, you could argue that its probably my phone that is the problem here... Sound quality, connectivity, remote usage (voice recognition, hang up/answer calls etc) are all excellent. Delivery (having ordered at about 3PM on the thursday afternoon) came on saturday morning! I would certainly recommend this item to everybody, whether a frequent user or not. It is fantastic value for money!
