The twin 13cm super woofers on either end of the unit deliver deep, powerful bass and the dedicated super woofer level control lets you adjust the bass level. The bass-reflex ducts located on the front create more aggressive deep bass. Hip-hop, house, techno, or rock fans －if you like cranking up the bass to feel your music, then this is the unit for you. Tweak the sound to fit your taste with the 4 EQ presets: Flat, Beat, Pop, and Clear.You get both deep bass AND clear quality sound. The secret lies in its unique design. The tube-shaped cabinet has no resonance-causing flat areas, while the super woofer units are symmetrically-driven back-to-back for minimum chassis vibration. The front speaker cabinets have an isolated structure, which cuts out the low frequency vibrations inside, and creates clear high/mid-range sound to complement the bass. On the centre of the boombox is an ipod dock with a transparent “twist and lock” door where your iPod can be mounted safely. I bought this specifically for my Kickboxing classes, they are held in a large hall (a bit bigger than a badminton court) and Boomblaster fills it no problem. I'd recommend it to anyone doing similar i.e aerobics, boxercise etc I dont think you can get a better system than the JVC! My only criticism is sometimes on a real heavy bass track it can be a little distorted but this is only when turned up to the near max!!

I needed to buy a portable music system for line dance classes held in local town hall that would be loud enough with no additional speakers.After reading good reviews I ordered this model.It plays all types of cd's even re-writable ones that some systems won't play.The remote is very good and although the hall is quite large volume never has to be operated at over 20 (WILL GO UP TO 30).I do not have an I.Pod so this can't be rated.
My Problem is with the USB.I downloaded and sync 20 songs to my USB stick,printed out my numbered playlist ready for my class.Luckily I did think to check playback on the boomblaster,it did indeed play everything I wanted but NOT in the right order.On closer reading of the enclosed leaflet "playback order may be different from the one you have intended",something to do with "hierarchy".Although you can programme playback of up to 30 tracks from a disc or usb by changing the track numbers,when the power supply is turned off this is all cancelled.As I will not be carrying the unit each week,but locking it in a cupboard in the hall,the power supply will be turned off and there won't be enough time to change track numbers before class.Very good for home use but I'll just have to keep playind cd's.
Anyone else needing it for dance classes using the usb -do bear my comments in mind.

As an update for my review I now have an I pod classic which plays perfectly with this boombox with no problems at all.Though in the leaflet from JVC it says you need an additional adapter dock to play the I pod, in actual fact you do not,the sound is amazing and very easy to use.
Therefore I have rated this product again-A five star product *****

I bought this product as a new Zumba Instructor for my class. I had been attending classes with another instructor and thought her music system was good but without a facility for cd's and with a 'dodgy' ipod connection! These faults led me to specifically check out this product which I eventually bought. I LOVE my 'boom ting' (called by my daughter as she mimicked me walking down the street with it on my shoulder)! It is very LOUD, the bass thumps and the quality of sound is very good. It also looks good sat on the side and the remote means i can change track whilst instructing. As I am still in the stage of breaking down and writing my sessions this machine also has the facility to fastforward/backward to go over specific points of a track whilst the timer allows me to perfectly break down the music and plan. My instructor's boombox has now broken for good and until she can get a new one she now uses my 'boom ting' for her classes!! The only points that I would raise prior to purchase is that the length of this system is a little unwieldy getting through doorways, however the robust and lightweight build of the product sort of allows for this. Also, I had to buy an extension lead as the lead wasn't long enough to go out of the studio to the nearest plugpoint - this meant I now also carry a little rucksack with the extension lead, system lead and remote control. It would be snazzy if the manufacturer could include these things but not a major problem at all!!! Mamma loves her 'Boom ting'!!!

The only boomblaster that ticks all the boxes
The JVC RV-NB52 CD is the only product of irs kind that has CD, Radio and ipod in an enclosed compartment. So far seems to work well.

Does what it says
The machine works well so far. Loud; easy to use. Possible drawbacks: very heavy to carry; cannot turn base right down so too bassy when on low volume. Read more

Ok but not perfect
I have got this device for outside photo shoots and video production. It is OK for that. The only thing I missed in this model is the input for Mic or Audio device. Read more
