So I rarely write reviews but felt I had to for this.
The unit is great, easy to install, good for the money, good sound quality etc etc.
However, I bought this headunit for the USB input, and although it's lovely driving round with an 8gb USB stick of loads of music there is one flaw.
The shuffle/random is TERRIBLE.
Like AWFUL.
On my stick I have however many folders containing albums which makes it really easy to navigate through artists/albums. However, shuffle seems to shuffle the folders, but rarely, very rarely the songs... meaning 4 out of 5 times it will play the same song from an album. After driving round for a week or two you end up listening to a mere fraction of the music on the stick. And it's INFURIATING!
It's 2012! Surely someone can write decent shuffle software?!
If it wasn't for this, i'd give it a 5 star review, but as it is I would have chosen another product solely for this one defect.

After looking around for a budget stereo with usb connection found this one. Great unit, easy to install in my 2001 Vectra. Took 5 minutes to put it in. No harnesses required as one is supplied. only needed aerial converter pin for the radio. Sound quality great, definitely recommended. Rich red button illumination, white lcd display.

A head unit with rear & front Aux In terminals and 4 channel phono outputs for £61. Oh and there's a front USB port for iTouch/iPhone and media players too. That alone marks this as exceptional value.
However the audio quality is good too and there's scope to customise a great deal - from the sound stage to display brightness.
I am very happy with this purchase.
Creiticisms? Some of the buttons are a little small but the main volume and selector knob is big and protrudes a long way. But in context these are minor criticisms - this unit has retailed for almost 3 times the price asked and represents a bargain.
However the audio quality is good too and there's scope to customise a great deal - from the sound stage to display brightness.
