This head unit is great value, powerful and with more features than you could ever use.
The USB port and MP3 CD modes provide text info and you can select your tracks via the back/forward buttons or via the folder (album) on the disc or USB stick or select from a menu.
The radio works well and there is of course all the usual RDS features such as Traffic Information, Station Name etc.
The audio controls can be used simply with its preset graphic equalizer or for the more adept person the bass/treble can be set manually and stored as 'User'. Buried in the menus is a decent 'Loudness' function which significantly boosts the Bass/trebble at lower volumes (upto around 20). The maximum volume can be fixed at 30 for lower output speakers to prevent damage or allowed to go up its full 50. You can also activate a High Band Pass filter on the system to remove the bass from its output if your speakers are struggling or you have a seperate amp/subwoofer set-up
Their is a single stereo line out for connection to an external amp, this can be set as 'Rear' so it will give the same output settings as the rear speakers or their is a Low Pass Filter for Amp/Sub Woofer with 3 preset filter levels and relative volume, though I have found the output from this to the Amp is rather low and even at its max output is not brilliant. I instead have set the output to 'Rear' and put an in-line active crossover in to amp which works much better.
Overall great unit, simple or as complex to use as you want. The only minor criticisms are the buttons are squashed together at one end of the facia making it very easy to press the wrong one and their is no case included for the removable facia.
