At first sight, the JTEK mini micro digital video recorder looks identical to the MUVI. On closer examination, the JTEK has a lightweight plastic case and the MUVI has a die-cast front plate, which gives the MUVI a more robust feel (though heavier).
In terms of performance, both devices work well, with slightly higher resolution from the JTEK.
The JTEK has a useful feature -a real time clock which can produce time code in picture.
Controls on the MUVI are two slide switches and a push button. The JTEK uses push buttons for all
operations, including on/off and record/pause. This makes the JTEK a bit more fiddly to operate.

After searching the internet for a small, light and affordable video camera to use for filming my mountainbike activities. I came accross the Jtek camera which has proved to be great value for money with regard to the quality of video that it produces. When used in good light I can't fault it, however when I've used it at dusk or under the cover of trees I've noticed considerable reduction in picture quality, and if used when traveling at high speed with close surroundings it can't keep up with the action, resulting in nothing but a blur.
With regard to the build quality, the camera is very well made and finished. I'm sorry to say that I can't say the same for the sports kit that is included, the holders are made in such a manner that the camera's contour fits nicely into the holder but the four "pins" that are meant to secure the camera in the holder are very fragile and easy to break off. After using the sports pack a couple of times both of the holders are now missing pins rendering them useless for the intended function.
After contacting the supplier about this problem, they proptly sent me three replacement holders with question! :)

Cheap tack
Ok don't expect too much. It works fine in good light but switches are fiddly and you can't see the LED in daylight making it imposible to tell if it is recording. Read more

Does the job
Used this for skiing. Can't knock it. Does the job and produced some good footage, at least as good as sommat I used last year for 3 times the price. Read more
