I wanted to use this to connect my to my Sony Ericsson phone - I made the mistake of installing the software shipped with the product first - this meant Windows would not use the dongle as a bluetooth device to connect via windows bluetooth. Once I had unistalled the software and plugged the item in to let windows install itself it worked perfectly. Would recommend to anyone.

This bluetooth dongle is excellent, very fast and works very well straight out of the box.
The trick is to just plug it into a USB port and just let Windows take care of the installation. Don't bother with the Blue Soleil software.
A few years ago, I had the misfortune to have a bluetooth dongle that came with Blue Soleil software (which is what comes with this)!
With Blue Soleil, I had nothing but problems and I am kind of reluctant to try it out again.
The dongle itself is a little wider than my previous one and meant that I was unable to insert this between other USB devices on the hub.
So just plug this in on the end of your USB hub and there is no problem.
Using Windows 7 X64, I just plugged it in and it worked immediately, no fuss, no hassle and no software to install as Windows takes care of it.
Transferring files between phone and PC and vice versa is a breeze with this dongle, you wont be disappointed!

I was looking online to find just a cheap dongle and i came across this one, i'm very pleased with the price of the item and to add that the P&P was free! Very happy with the service and very happy with my dongle! =D It works fast, and i had no problem installing it all on my laptop, it was easy as 1,2,3.

read reviews about disc so did not use it. Occasionally I have been able to connect it to my bluetooth phone. Not sure it is worth the hour per successful attempt. Read more

Do not buy.
If you are running Vista or Windows 7 do not buy this dongle as Windows cannot find a driver for it and there appears to be no driver available online for it. Read more
