Well i'm not sure if the previous reviewer was trying to vacum his whole house with the super vac or not but I find it excellent for cleaning the inside of my car (although it is only mains and not battery so keep that in mind) and also comes in handy for cleaning out the dust from inside my pc where full sized units with full sized hoses are just to big and clumsy to be of use. I've had a few of the cheaper one piece mini vacums bought for me which were all but useless, this little gem is quite the opposite and a bargain at the price. Feels solid and of good quality too.

If you have anything other than short pile carpet, these type of suction only cleaners are inadequate for cleaning right down to the base of the carpet.
Much better to go for a dual suction and rotational beating action such as the Dirt Devil (Black and Decker appear to have discontinued their excellent version).
