4.0 out of 5 stars I don't quite know what others were expecting?? 16 Dec 2011
I've now had my Dri Buddi up and running for a month, so feel I am finally able to give it a proper review for those who might be looking to purchase one.

I live in a very small flat with no central heating. I have little to dry clothes in the winter, no radiators to hang washing on, and no space for a tumble drier. In these circumstances I have found the Dri Buddi to be an almost ideal solution.

Positives: It doesn't take up much room and dries clothes in a couple of hours (longer for jeans and thicker wool jumper), I can also dry items I would not be able to dry in a tumble drier. Towels come out slightly more fluffy than having just been left on a standard airier. It makes the place smell good with the fragrance of the fabric conditioner. It warms the flat.

Negatives: Whilst it doesn't sound that bad, you don't want it in the same room as you for long. It produces a lot of condensation in to the air so is best used in a bathroom (or somewhere like that) with a window open and door shut. You cannot and should not put as many clothes in as are indicated by the slots available - hangers just don't fit that close together and it will take far too long to dry, however 9 garments fit well and dry within a couple of hours, and that is really all that should be in your machine anyway so it will wash them properly!!

Overall I would highly recommend the Dri Buddi to anyone in a similar situation as me. However if you have space for a tumble drier this is NOT a replacement and I would recommend you buy one of those instead. Likewise if you have central heating and are able to hang clothing on or near radiators during the winter, I would recommend sticking to that. For a niche market though it's great!

3.0 out of 5 stars Works but can take time 9 Dec 2011

This does what it says on the box but you have to use some common sense. If you stick a couple of pairs of dripping wet jeans into it then it is going to take hours to dry them. If however you stick some shirts in then it dry's them fairly quickly and without problem.

It is a little noisy but acceptable. Assembly is quick and straight forward. I keep mine part assembled and it only takes a few minutes to get drying. I live in a small flat and do not have room for a tumble drier, this is a reasonable alternative.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good 18 Aug 2012

We've had our Dri Buddy for almost a week. I almost gave this a 3 star due to how fiddly it is to use. On top of needing a good system for getting wet clothes out the washing machine, onto hangers, get the hangers on the Dri Buddy, and then the covering around, there are a few complications along the way. You're recommended to use plastic hangers but the plastic hangers we have (of different styles and sizes) are too large for the notches where they're meant to hook on, so the hangers have a tendency to slip. This is exacerbated by the process of trying to get the cover around without knocking hangers down.

That said, I currently have a washer/dryer combo unit and the Dri Buddy is quieter, quicker, and more effective that it. I anticipate using the Dri Buddy for a long while.

To the manufacturer, I think it would be a better tool if the arms were lengthened and the hanger grooves deepened.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dry Buddi
This is good as a replacement tumble dryer. However it is a little big if you have a small area to dry your clothes.
