next month a prequel written by JRK will go on sale - but not to the public.

Once again the story (said to be 800 words) will be auctioned for charity. So the rich collector gets the prize and the rest of us fans can go to blazes.

Don't get me wrong she's raising money for charity (Dyslexia Action) and good on her, but why not mass produce the product and give the profits to charity. It will give those of us who are fans of the books, and who made her a multi millionaire, a fair shake, even if we can't afford the handwritten limited edition stuff.

If you read the BBC news website it explains that all the 'postcard' size contributions for the auction are going to be published in august, including the Harry Potter prequel.

Just read the prequel (postcard) that she is NOT writing, I think that if she does enough postcards she'll have wrote the whole book, so why she doesn't just write it, make everyone happy and donate the whole profit to charity!

Peterduds says:
I agree, with such a large following of the Harry Potter series she would earn far more for the charity selling to the public than a one off customer probably with more money than sense anyway. What about the loyal fans!!!

hopefully, lots of stuff like this will be in the encylopedia...

Spurs vicky says:
JK Rowling has said in the past she would write an encylopedia for charity. Plus that was what she said in her defence against Lexicon when they tried to publish one.
