Product Description

Product Description

Whether you're splashing around in the backyard pool, snorkeling in the tropics or careering over whitewater rapids, keeping your waterproof digital camera secure can be a big hassle. And if you happen to drop it in the water (especially in natural environments), it's quite possible you've seen the last of your camera and all the memories contained within. But with this floating camera strap from JJC, you can rest easy knowing that your expensive camera will stay afloat* no matter how many times you let it slip away!

Designed for use with nearly any compact waterproof camera this strap is constructed of tough nylon, buoyant foam and durable plastic. Plus, the strap is adjustable to provide an additional measure of security.

* Note: Due to the nature of the product we advise all customers to test the floating strap in a controlled environment. Different environments will provide different results in bouyancy.

I bought this for my waterproof camera as I snorkel a lot and like to take shots and vids of what I see and have previously lost a camera when dropping it while snorkelling, since I bought this little baby I have the piece of mind that my camera just floats back to the surface if I drop it, and I have done just that and up the camer went and I collected it when I swam back up.

It's perfect if you are like me and a tiny price to pay for piece of mind and save you loads of money if you drop your camera by not having to replace it.

The camera strap came from Singapore by airmail, so took a little longer than usual to arrive, but it did arrive well in advance of the predicted date, and just in time for use in a holiday in the Maldives.

The design is simple and effective. The camera attachment loop usefully separates from the strap assembly, enabling it to easily be looped through the strap loop on the camera, without having to try and mess about threading the whole strap assembly through a tiny loop.

When attached to the camera it is comfortable on the wrist, the strap also being long enough to comfortably hold the camera for use, whilst the float strap is on your wrist, and I tested the floating claim with my camera, a rather heavy Canon PowerShot D20, and it works well, being adequate to support the camera with the float remaining visible on the surface.

The colour also fairly closely matches the blue colour of my D20. A good combination for underwater photography.

having this float device attached to the camera and over your wrist was really reassuring. Great idea that thankfully we didn't need to save the camera but gave us great reassurance just in case..

Brilliant attaches to our waterproof camera and stoped it from sinking in the water. Snug fit around even a childs wrist.

I purchased a waterproof camera for £250.00, this little 'life jacket' attracted quite a lot of interest from other people on my recent trip to the Maldives from others with waterproof cameras, a great little item, that costs so little to save your costly camera from dropping out of reach in the ocean

Tried this on a D20 in both the pool and the sea. It kept the camera close by and we often used it as a camera hold when we had no pockets nearby. It safely kept the camera up at the top of the water when we test-dropped in into the sea.

Once you drop something in the ocean it is gone! When diving and swimming around the coast this past summer I attached this flotation strap to my Canon Powershot D20 as a safeguard. The float is strong enough to not sink with the camera beneath the waves, but I'd recommend taking off the strap that comes with the camera before attaching this one as it will get in front of the lens.

So far it is strong enough to take punishment from salt water and the other elements I have exposed it to and it is small enough to cram inside a pouch of your camera bag.
