The Jigthings Jigsaw Puzzle Table has been designed to provide maximum comfort whilst putting together a jigsaw. It is ideal for elderly and disabled people but even the most able-bodied individuals agree that it makes jigsaw-doing much more relaxing.
The table itself has four castors that allow it to be moved around freely. It is adjustable so as to slip just over the top of the arms of a wheelchair or armchair and pulled towards the jigsaw-doer who can then lean back in the chair. A further adjustment enables the surface of the table to be tilted to the most comfortable angle - much like an artist's easel.
A separate very light puzzle board (the Jigthings ""Jigboard"") needs to be purchased separately and listings for ""Jigboard"" can be found elsewhere on Amazon. Two sizes of board are available - for 500 piece puzzles and for 1,000 piece puzzles.
The Jigboard is placed on top of the puzzle table in order to do a jigsaw. When the table is required for other purposes it is a simple matter to take the jigboard, complete with developing puzzle, and place it on a chair, a sofa, another table or even on the floor in a corner until it is required again.
Measurements for the table are as follows: The height of the table top is adjustable between 70cm and 84cm (27.5 inches x 33 inches), the table can span an armchair up to 74cm (29 inches) wide, the size of the table top is 60.5cm x 40cm (23.8 inches x 15.8 inches) and the base of the table occupies an area that is 80cm x 58cm (31.5 inches x 22.8 inches).
