The overall quality of this scooter is a step up from the cheap equivalents sold on the high street, but my initially positive experience with this model has been tempered by some problems later on.
The stem locking nut supplied was not, in fact, the correct one for the stem (a new one was sent by Skatehut), and after about 9 months of moderate use the front wheel and bearings developed a serious fault. Rectifying this proved difficult because it wasn't clear which part had failed.
Finally, a few weeks later, the entire front stem sheared off above the wheel, a flaw caused by brittleness in the aluminium. The scooter had to be replaced.
On the whole I'd recommend this model for its excellent performance in day-to-day use, but whether it will necessarily last any longer than the mass produced £10 scooters is open to question.
Fair to point out that supplier Skatehut was generally very helpful.
