Product Description
New proprietary frame, unique in-board motor structure and new cone design deliver a woofer that is a full inch shallower than equivelent sized models from competing brands. This approach alllows for fit into more vehicles without a sacrafice in performance. Progressive spider provides better control at excursion limits and reduces woofer distortion. Hi-roll rubber surrounds provide exceptional cone edge suspension and long-throw linearity with the proper amount of control and stability at excursion limits. Vented polepieces provide additional cooling to the motor structure, resulting in an increase in the subwoofer's thermal power handling capability.

AS JBL is part of Harmon international I had high expectations, they were met once I had installed it in my car, this speaker has some serious power behind it, and is quite light compared to the installation box which I used.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Ive had all price ranges of speakers in my car, from the very expensive, to the very cheap flimsy ebay build quality ones, and when I bought my new car I decided that im going to do it right first time. So after carefully consideration and measurement of my 1.4 fiat panda 100 I decided to purchase 2 of these subs to go in 2 ported boxes. Let me just say I have never looked back since, they are very loud, very clear and provide very tight bass. Ive had jbl before and am so glad that I came back to them. Probably not going to be winning any spl competitions with them but for standard car use they are probably some of the best that I have ever owned.
