JBL Duet White Mac/Win

I was looking for some reasonable sized speakers for my new Dell PC set-up. Having moved to a TFT monitor I wanted to free up further space by getting rid of the over-large speakers I had. I thought these would fit the bill and with the JBL-Harmon name they were sure to be good. I wasn't disappointed. The sound is of a quality usually only available on much larger speakers. I agree with other reviewers that you will better appreciate the quality by playing around with the equalizer settings.

I have a cheap paid of Ross speakers for use with my MP3 player on holiday but I'll be taking these with me now.

Just one tiny gripe. I'd rather have a simple push button on-off switch rather than a combined on-off/volume button as you are effectively re-setting the volume every time you switch them on - oh and there's no headphone socket. Other than that these speakers are just the business and fantastic quality, and added to this the price is amazing. Buy some!

I was looking for a reasonable pair of speakers to use with my home comp for listening to internet radio and cds etc. These are quite remarkable for their size. they offer a really satisfying listening experience, considerably better than a decent portable radio and really up there with the middle grades of HiFi. I listen to a lot of classical and they handle that very well too. They distort as the volume goes up, but at the sort of modest levels you are likely to need this is not a problem, though stadium rockers should perhaps look elsewhere. NB Worth checking prices across the internet first.

Being at university you are constantly playing your music and especially in halls of residence you are competing with everyone else. I bought these speakers not only to drown out the awful death metal from my next door neighbour but also to replace my laptop speakers that didnt really make my music sound as gr8 as i know it can. Thankfully these speakers have solved this by providing an extremly loud when needed, extremely bassy and excellent quality sound from relatively small units. Its incredible. At this price they are the bargain of the century and offer a far better quality of sound than any other multimedia stereo or 2.1 speakers. Buy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
