If like me you can't listen to The Blue Danube without cringing, then this is possibly not the collection for you. However, this is not the fault of the work itself, but of the world in which we live that shamelessly attaches it to banal and inappropriate images on the TV and elsewhere.
However, there is more than just TBD on this CD - there is a wealth of (in my mind) better works, chief among them the exquisite Tales of the Vienna Woods, and Roses from the South.
Sorry about the low rating, but I'm just not keen on the collection as it stands - among the gems is some terribly trivial pieces which may have been amusing at the time but are now just too tedious for words. But make your own mind up - in my opinion, this should be filed on the same shelf as chick flicks and Mills and Boone.
