I just bought this as a Christmas stocking present for my little girl (I know, I plan ahead) and it is so beautifully done. The faux silk cover looks embroidered, the gilt pages shine and the ribbon book mark is a pure crimson. The story is lovely and well illustrated although my one criticism is that the font, which is made to look handwritten, might be hard for a young child to read. But I think my daughter is going to love this and it is a great gift for any adult who loves beautiful books and for any child who wants to start their own special book collection.

Collector's edition of a book on display in dolls house at Windsor Castle. The book is very well presented with metallised page edging and ribbon bookmark. The whole supply process was first class.

I liked the size of it and the design on the front cover plus the illustrations. The plastic cover to keep it clean was a bonus.

Oh, how sad I was when I just opened it.
I had read about this reproduction of the miniature book before and had decided to get it as a present but I'm afraid I made the mistake (I know it's my mistake but I feel it's an easy one to have made and others might too)of expecting it would be a miniature volume itself. I love miniatures and the person for whom I bought it does too and we're both keen on the Queen's Doll's House so I thought it would be a perfect present.
It is a nice edition but be aware that it isn't a miniature like the original, it's actually rather large and in my opinion it's such a shame because the illustrations are drawn in such a way (because of course they were so tiny when drawn)that they look disappointingly odd when reproduced this size.

What a gorgeous little book. Gold edged pages, an embossed cover, an enchanting story of a fairy lost in London, and charming illustrations and calligraphy. A special book for a child or adult.
