I was expecting something post modern dense impenetrable, rereading again and again to get hold of one or two thoughts out of a sentence but no, its quite straight forward. You would have to know his novels beforehand and have some understanding of Marx's theory of alienation, a working knowledge of Deleuze and Guattari, De Bord, Vanegeim, Lefebvre but then it becomes a downhill slide as the terminilogy is accessible and the thoughts novel.
A good accompaniment to Ballard as a philosopher rather than a pulp fiction writer that is read on holiday and tossed aside for the Dick Francis, Jilly Cooper or Archer novel.
Could not imagine anyone writing a book of this ilk about them.
